Videos for B&Q - and occasionally Tradepoint - advertising the sales upcoming at the time.

These were advertised across TV and YouTube (in different formats and resizes).

Videos for Screwfix advertising the sales or campaigns happening at the time. These were advertised across social media platform - including, Instagram, Twitter/X and YouTube (in different formats and resizes).

Videos for Patrón Perfectionists promoting the winners and their bespoke drinks of the recent competition at the time. I particularly enjoyed the cinemagraphs where I took a static image and applied effects to make it animated. These were advertised across Instagram.

In my previous 2021 showreel, I've dedicated a section of my showreel to showcase something more personal. I love learning more techniques in Adobe After Effects and applying my knowledge of character animation to create something really cool!

During my time at Five by Five, I was assigned to work on the promotional 'Diablo 4 x Five By Five' sizzle video to be shared on LinkedIn - showcasing all the work we had done for the launch of D4. I was already familiar with the D4 assets as I had rolled out a few videos myself so it was fun to dive back into the videos and statics FBF had created for Blizzard/Activision and reedit them to fit a punchy exciting narrative to hype the release of the game.

When client work was sparse, I was invited to improve upon my skills through learning and development training. This mainly involved experimenting with the Adobe Creative Suite and sometimes creating assets (like the D4 sizzle video) for internal use.

I worked together with one of my coworkers (Lucas Edwards) to create a animated-mock-infomercial to promote the rejuvenation of the intranet managed by one of my other coworkers (Ryan Walls). This video was highly praised by others in the company for its wit and animation.

Here is another concept I also created using Apple's Procreate and Adobe After Effects. This was another idea for the company's intranet which involved creating a submission page, allowing employees to 'shout-out’ or 'Hi5' one another for positive highlights during the week.

One frequent client at Five by Five was Epic Games. My team and I edited hundreds of localised ‘Fall Guys’ trailers to be distributed across multiple platforms. This included adding accurate age ratings for each country, as well as sometimes creating cut-downs of the longer formatted videos. Most of this work was done in Adobe After Effects.

I was also tasked with editing the SRT files (subtitles/captions) in

Adobe Premier Pro to play in time any videos with a VO.

A similar job was with the release of Alan Wake 2. The Five by Five branch based in the US needed help getting the trailers ready for distribution. As we had experience with Fall Guys, myself and a coworker were ready to help edit the videos. I was also excited to join the team as an avid horror video game fan. Like with our Fall Guys production, this roll out of edits required adding accurate age ratings, amend the SRTs accordingly and bake them in as captions on some videos.

Screwfix was one of the more consistent clients at FBF. I was usually be tasked with creating the social media videos for various sales happening throughout the year.

It was always fun creating new ways to engage the viewer.

B&Q were also a major client at Five by Five. I took over as lead animator for these assets during my second year at Five by Five. I was tasked to make storyboards, animatics and the final animation. While there was sometimes a lot of tight deadlines, I really enjoyed creating these videos for B&Q as it was always a chance to learn to create something new by innovating upon assets we had made before.
